We’re moving! From 21 September, our Addlestone clinic will relocate to 114 Guildford Street, Chertsey, KT16 9AH.
All appointments from this date will take place at our new Chertsey clinic.
An injection can be helpful for some conditions, but it is not always the best treatment simply because pain is present.
At Physiozen, we assess your condition, discuss the available options and agree the most appropriate approach with you through shared decision-making.
Depending on your assessment, this may include Injection Therapy, Physiotherapy, rehabilitation, Shockwave Therapy or another appropriate treatment pathway.
Used for selected joint and soft-tissue conditions to help reduce pain and inflammation where clinically appropriate. £240 includes prescription, medication and injection. Suitability is assessed and confirmed before treatment.
Used for selected osteoarthritis and chronic joint pain, with the aim to reduce discomfort and improve joint function. £380 includes prescription, medication and injection. Suitability is assessed and confirmed before treatment.
Steroid injections are commonly used to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain in joints and soft tissues. Understanding the procedure and post-injection care can help you prepare and maximize the benefits of the treatment.
Hyaluronic Acid injections are considered individually following clinical assessment. Your clinician will discuss whether this is an appropriate option for your condition, including the potential benefits, limitations and alternative treatments.
Our role is to help you choose the treatment most appropriate for your condition, not simply deliver a treatment because it was originally requested.
We will explain the available options and agree a plan with you based on your assessment, goals and the clinical evidence.
Your assessment may identify that rehabilitation, Physiotherapy, Shockwave Therapy or another approach is more appropriate than an injection.
Where this happens, we can guide you towards the right treatment within our multidisciplinary Chertsey clinic wherever possible.
If an injection is appropriate
The procedure and aftercare will be explained to you. Following treatment, you will receive injection aftercare advice and an aftercare leaflet from Physiozen.
Injection Therapy is not appropriate for every patient or every condition.
Your clinician will review relevant medical conditions, medications and other factors before confirming whether treatment is suitable.
Please provide complete and accurate medical and medication information during your assessment.
As with any injection, side effects and complications are possible. These vary depending on the treatment and may include temporary pain or swelling, bruising, infection or other treatment-specific effects.
Your clinician will discuss the relevant risks, benefits and aftercare with you before you consent to treatment.
An injection may help manage symptoms, but long-term recovery often requires addressing movement, strength, activity and the underlying condition.
Where appropriate, Injection Therapy can therefore form part of a wider rehabilitation plan involving Physiotherapy, exercise and self-management.
Injection Therapy is provided by Sam Bhide, Physiozen Clinical Director, Advanced Practice Physiotherapist, Injection Therapist and Independent Prescriber. Sam assesses suitability and works with patients through shared decision-making to determine whether an injection or another treatment pathway is most appropriate.
If you already have a clear treatment plan and have been advised to consider Injection Therapy, you can use the Injection Therapy booking pathway.
If the cause of your symptoms or the best treatment option is unclear, an Advanced MSK Assessment may be the better starting point.
