Personalised one-to-one Pilates designed around your movement, strength, stability, mobility and individual goals.
Pilates 1:1 gives you individual guidance and a programme tailored to your body, ability and goals.
Your sessions can focus on strength, stability, mobility, balance, coordination and body awareness, with exercises progressed at a pace appropriate for you.
Whether you are returning to activity, complementing rehabilitation or simply want to move with greater confidence, your sessions are shaped around what you want to achieve.
One-to-one Pilates allows the session to be adapted specifically to you rather than following a standard class programme.
Pilates 1:1 can be adapted for people with different levels of experience, movement ability and fitness.
It may be suitable if you want personalised support with movement, strength and mobility, are returning to activity after injury, or prefer individual guidance rather than a group environment.
If you are currently experiencing pain or have a new or unexplained injury, we may recommend a Physiotherapy assessment before beginning Pilates.
Your first 60-minute session begins with understanding your movement, health, previous experience and what you would like to achieve.
During the session we may discuss your goals and health history, assess movement and current ability, introduce and adapt appropriate exercises, work on movement quality and control, and agree how your programme should progress.
Your session is individual to you. You do not need previous Pilates experience.
Pilates can complement Physiotherapy and rehabilitation by helping you continue developing strength, mobility, balance and movement confidence. Where appropriate, your Physiozen clinician can help you move from treatment and rehabilitation towards a more independent movement programme.
Pilates 1:1 is also available for people who simply want to improve their strength, mobility, balance and body awareness. Your programme will be designed around your current ability and personal goals.
If you have an existing condition that has already been assessed, Pilates may form part of your rehabilitation or longer-term movement plan.
If you have new, unexplained or worsening pain, a Physiotherapy or Advanced MSK assessment may be more appropriate before starting Pilates.
