HCPC-Registered Physiotherapist
Kawena Dhami is an HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with over four years of clinical experience across a wide range of healthcare settings. She holds a master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Exeter and currently works as a Band 6 Rotational Physiotherapist within the NHS, having completed comprehensive Band 5 rotations across acute, respiratory, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and community services.
With a broad and diverse clinical background, Kawena takes a whole-person approach to rehabilitation, tailoring treatment to everyone’s needs, goals, and lifestyle. She also has hands-on experience working with professional sports teams, including Exeter City FC Women and Exeter Chiefs Rugby Club, bringing a high level of expertise in musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation to every patient she works with.
Kawena is deeply committed to her patients and understands that pain and injury can feel frustrating, limiting, and overwhelming. She believes that meaningful progress comes from consistency, clear guidance, and working together as a team. By building strong therapeutic relationships and delivering personalised rehabilitation programmes, she helps patients feel supported, confident, and motivated throughout their recovery.
Having trained and worked internationally, Kawena brings cultural awareness, adaptability, and a calm, reassuring presence to every session. She is known for her excellent communication skills, taking the time to listen carefully, explain clearly, and ensure patients fully understand both their condition and their treatment plan.
Outside of clinical practice, Kawena values balance and wellbeing. She enjoys meditation, dancing, travelling, and reading, which all influence her holistic and grounded approach to care. Her goal is simple: to help you move with confidence, build strength, and return to doing what you love — with expert care, professionalism, and no shortcuts.
